Fleet Spurs have been accepted into the FA Vase for the first time in their history, and the first time we as a club have entered a national tournament.
The draw has been released by the F.A this afternoon, and i can confirm the first 3 rounds:
We start in the first qualifying round where we have been drawn at home against Petersfield Town, who we know well from the Wessex league.
If we can despatch of Petersfield we again have a home draw in the second qualifying round against either Cobham from the Combined Counties 1 (which is same equivalent to us) or Rye United who play in the Sussex league division 1 (which is 1 level up from us).
Finally if we can get through that fixture we have an away game in the first round proper to one of the following: Deal Town ( Kent Premier League) Crawley Down (Sussex 1) or Farnham Town (Combined Counties 1).

The draw for the Hampshire Cup has been made this week up at the Hampshire FA, and i can confirm that we have been drawn away to Newport IOW in the first round , game to be played week commencing 6th September.
This will be a tough game, as not only do we have to take into account the travelling, but we are also playing against a team who have only in the last few years been relegated to the Wessex Premier, having plyed their trade at Southern league level for a number of years.
If we can overcome Newport IOW we will then take on the winners of New Milton and AFC Portchester at home in the second round.
