Summer Soccer Academy 2009

Fleet Spurs Youth ran another successful “Summer Soccer Academy” in 2009.  The course was aimed at children from school years R, 1, 2 and 3 and was run by FA qualified coaches with extensive Youth Soccer training experience.

The 90 minute sessions were held over a 6 Saturday period from  June 13^th to July 25^th at the club's home at Southwood pitches in Kennels Lane. For a small fee the children, novices or experienced players, were taught about the fun, fitness and social aspects of playing football. The vast majority have now signed on with the club and we hope will continue to have a long playing career with us. Several new teams have been created as a result which ties in with the club's Standard Charter Development status in promoting football for all.
