Firstly I'd like to
say congratulations
to the boys, both Fleet and Headley for sticking with it
on a very wet pitch,
in exceptionally wet conditions.
This was our second match,
and we played a brilliant game against a much more
experienced team, for the most part we completely held
them at bay, with some scares for Headley being
delivered from Ben Shefras,
Daniel Barden and Robbie Coupland. Well done boys. Headley
took a half time lead of 3 - 0 and scored another 2
goals in the second half, in most cases catching the
Fleet defence pushing forward.
An excellent second half
performance saw Robbie Coupland pushing the
attack at every opportunity, and for this he was awarded
The Player of the Match Trophy.
I would also like to
mention an excellent defensive performance from Joel
Douglas, and some good running and excellent tackling
from Joel Easters. Finally an outstanding goal keeping
performance by Andre Pienaar in the second half kept
Headleys final score lower than could have been.
A little more work on
positional play and I think we will start to see some
winning results.
